Our Story

An idea is born

In the summer of 2022, we fell in love with the vibrant world of Indian ethnic wear while planning our wedding.

We also sensed a striking lack of awareness for these admirable crafts amongst many modern Indians.

we had gotten into top tier corporate jobs immediately after graduating from IIT Delhi, and spent years living in Europe and travelling the world.

Having seen a deep sense of pride in cultural heritage and efforts to preserve it across societies, We wanted to do something similar for traditional Indian textiles.

In the summer of 2023, we decided to take the plunge: amaAra is born.
